Wooden parquet is a prism-shaped floor covering material whose surface is smooth, its thickness is homogeneous, and whose sides and heads are opened in a way that they can be combined with each other.

Application Methods

Preparation Stages:

The screed should be smooth, hard, clean and dry.

In order to measure the screed hardness, it should be checked whether a deep line can be created with the help of a metal rod.

Depending on the season, the screed should be aged between 21 and 45 days.

Screed thickness should be between 2.5-3 centimeters.

The place where parquet will be applied should be cleaned of plaster, plaster and all other dirt.

The adhesive to be used for flooring should not be water-based.

If the application will be done on the old parquet, the polish of the parquets that will be below should be scraped off beforehand.

If the application is to be made in a humid place, the parquet should be brought to the place to be laid 10-15 days before to adapt to the humidity in the environment and the packages should be opened.

In order not to open the joints in the covering parts of the parquets, the moisture percentage should be between 8-14%. However, the lower limit must be observed in very dry environments.
